Nach eigenen Aussagen ist die noch heute bestehende Aktiengesellschaft Fratelli Alinari S. p. A. das älteste fotografische Unternehmen weltweit. Die Fotografie zeigt den Blick über die mittelalterliche Altstadt von Florenz mit Duomo, Palazzo delle Signoria, Basilika Santa Croce und dem Arnoufer.

- Description: Historical impression from Italy of the famous photographers Alinari. The Alinari brothers from Florence began to run their own photographic laboratory, later a studio, around 1852. According to their own statements, the joint-stock company Fratelli Alinari S. p. A. , which still exists today, is the oldest photographic company in the world. The photograph shows the view over the medieval old town of Florence with the Duomo, Palazzo delle Signoria, Basilica of Santa Croce and the banks of the Arno.
