- Description: Thophil Schuler was a painter and illustrator. He worked more through drawing than through colour. He was averse to all embellishment and instead sought to reproduce crude, violent movements. His skill found expression in countless drawings printed in magazines or as illustrations. As the present sheet proves, Schuler’s humorous gift is more evident here than in the large pictures.

- Condition: Rather good condition. The sheet has discoloured due to its age, especially at the margins, and is stained. The corners are creased and bear folds.
