Das Porträt von Johannes Jacobus Pömer von Diepoltsdorf, Mitglied einer Patrizierfamilie der Reichsstadt Nürnberg, war der Tradition seiner Familie seit 1395 folgende, Ratsherr der Stadt Nürnberg. Das interessante Detail ist neben dem in prächtiger Ratsherrenrobe Dargestellten das gespiegelte Familienwappen in der oberen rechten Ecke, dass die Mohrin als Helmzier beinhaltet.

The portrait of Johannes Jacobus Pömer von Diepoltsdorf, member of a patrician family of the imperial city of Nuremberg, following the tradition of his family since 1395, was a councillor of the city of Nuremberg. The interesting detail, apart from the sitter in his splendid councillor’s robes, is the mirrored family coat of arms in the upper right corner, which includes the Mohrin as a crest.
