Dramatisches Historienbild der französischen Adligen Charlotte Corday (1768 Les Ligneries – 1793 Paris) in ihrem Gefängnis in der Conciergerie in Paris. Auf dem kleinen Tisch liegt ihr Brief an den Deputierten Barbaroux, in dem sie sich für den Mord des revolutionären Arztes und Politikers Jean Paul Marat (1743 Boudry – 1793 Paris) als patriotische Tat rechtfertigt.

- Zustand: Sehr guter Zustand. Der Druck ist klar und scharf. Das Blatt ist altersgemäß gebräunt, insbesondere im oberen Teil des Blattes. Blasse Stockflecken sind am unteren Blattrand festzustellen. Die Prägung der Druckplatte hat oben rechts am Rand einen Schnitt in das Blatt verursacht.

Dramatic historical picture of the French noblewoman Charlotte Corday (1768 Les Ligneries – 1793 Paris) in her prison in the Conciergerie in Paris. On the small table lies her letter to the deputy Barbaroux, in which she justifies herself for the murder of the revolutionary doctor and politician Jean Paul Marat (1743 Boudry – 1793 Paris) as a patriotic act.

- Condition: Very good condition. The impression is clear and sharp. The sheet is browned due to its age, especially in the upper part. Pale foxing can be seen at the lower margin of the sheet. The embossing of the printing plate has caused a cut into the sheet at the upper right margin.
