- Beschreibung: Das Blatt stammt aus einem Skizzenbuch eines anonymen Künstlers aus dem Umkreis des berühmten Historienmalers Moritz von Schwind (1804 Wien – 1871 Niederpöcking), der zu den bedeutendsten Malern der deutschen Spätromantik zählt. Wie im Werke Schwinds enthält das Skizzenbuch zahlreiche Darstellungen zu Historienszenen oder Illustrationen von Märchen- und Sagenstoff sowie religiösen Themen.

- Description: The sheet comes from a sketchbook by an anonymous artist from the circle of the famous history painter Moritz von Schwind (1804 Vienna – 1871 Niederpöcking), who is one of the most important painters of the German late Romantic period. As in Schwind’s works, the sketchbook contains numerous depictions of history scenes or illustrations of fairy tales and legends as well as religious themes.

- Condition: Good condition. The sheet is discoloured due to age and slightly soiled especially along the edges. The lower edge of the sheet is folded over and shows traces of bookbinding. The corners of the sheet are minimally bumped. The paper is slightly wavy in places.
