- Bezeichnung: Unterhalb der Darstellung in der Druckplatte vom Künstler signiert und bezeichnet mit “Isabella und Marfori im Boudoir überrascht und gestört durch Prim, der mit dem Degen in der Faust in die Gemächer der Königin eindringt”. Vermutlich stammt das Blatt aus einer Serie des Künstlers namens Bilder zur Vertreibung der Königin Isabella von Spanien aus dem Jahr 1868. Der Druck erfolgte bei “J.Wendland in Berlin”.

- Beschreibung: Nach einer Vorlage von “G.Bartsch”. Ganzfigurige Darstellung Isabellas II. von Spanien im aufwendigen Kleid, die ihren Intendanten Carlos Mafori zurückhält seinen Degen zu ziehen. Links steht mit anklagend erhobenem Arm und blanker Waffe der General Juan Prim. Alle Dargestellten tragen aufwendige höfische Kleidung.

- Zustand: Noch guter Zustand. Auf dem gesamten Blatt sind altersbedingte Verfärbungen und kleinteilige Stockflecken sichtbar. In der Darstellung sowie auf den Blatträndern befinden sich großflächige Flüssigkeitsflecken. Die Blattkanten sind leicht bis grob durch Knicke und Randeinrisse beschädigt. Die Darstellung macht einen guten Eindruck.

- Inscription: Below the image in the printing plate signed by the artist and inscribed with “Isabella and Marfori in the boudoir surprised and disturbed by Prim, who enters the Queen’s chambers with a rapier in his fist”. Presumably, the sheet comes from a series of the artist called pictures of the expulsion of Queen Isabella of Spain from 1868. The print was made by “J.Wendland in Berlin”.

- Condition: Still good condition. On the entire sheet are visible age-related discoloration and small-scale foxing. There are large-scale liquid stains in the image as well as on the edges of the sheet. The edges of the sheet are slightly to coarsely damaged by creases and marginal tears. The illustration makes a good impression.
