Alexandre Calame war ein Schweizer Maler. Aufenthalte und Ausstellungen in Paris, Berlin und Düsseldorf. Reise nach Italien im Jahr 1844. Seine Lithografien und Radierungen erfreuen sich großer Beliebtheit; die 18 Studien von Lauterbrunnen und Meiringen sowie die 24 Blätter von Alpenübergängen, die in Frankreich, England und Deutschland grosse Verbreitung fanden dienen noch heute als Vorlagen für den Zeichenunterricht. - Datierung: um 1860

- Zustand: Guter Zustand. Das schöne Blatt ist im breiten Rand stellenweise leicht fleckig und mit unscheinbaren Löchern versehen, die mit Papier hinterlegt sind; verso an der oberen Blattkante Klebestreifen einer alten Montierung. Die Darstellung macht einen sehr guten Eindruck.

Alexandre Calame was a Swiss painter. Stays and exhibitions in Paris, Berlin and Düsseldorf. His lithographs and etchings are very popular; the 18 studies of Lauterbrunnen and Meiringen as well as the 24 sheets of Alpine crossings, which were widely used in France, England and Germany, still serve as models for drawing lessons. - Date: c. 1860

- Condition: Good condition. The beautiful sheet is slightly stained in places in the wide margin and has inconspicuous holes backed with paper; at the back side’s upper edge adhesive tape of an old mounting. The image makes a very good impression.
