- Description: Boyer mainly treated epidemic and contagious diseases. He brought the system of vaccination with him from Constantinople and was thus able to defeat the epidemic that affected the troops of the Archbishopric of Trier (1734). In 1742, he succeeded in stopping an epidemic epidemic disease of animals near Paris.
