The Italian draughtsman and etcher Stefano della Bella (1610 Florence – 1664 ibid.) is considered a master of Baroque etching and left behind an extensive oeuvre of over a thousand drawings and etchings, including battle, military and hunting depictions, maps and decorations, seascapes, capriccios and animal series.
