After the painting (1619-1620) by Anthony van Dyck in the National Gallery in London. In the centre of the depiction is Aurelius Ambrosius/Ambrosius of Milan (339 Trier – 397 Milan). He is one of the four Latin Doctors of the Church of Late Antiquity of the Western Church.
