Theden ist bekannt für seine Verdienste als Naturforscher du königlich preußischer Militärarzt sowie Verfasser medizinischer Fachliteratur. Unter dem Bildnis bezeichnet mit “I. C. A. Theden. Dritter Koenigl. Preuss. General Chirurgus und Regiments Feldscheer des gantzen Artillerie Corps.”

Theden is known for his merits as a naturalist and royal Prussian military physician as well as author of medical literature. Inscribed under the portrait “I. C. A. Theden. Third Royal Pruss. General Chirurgus und Regiments Feldscheer des gantzen Artillerie Corps.”
