- Bezeichnung: Unterhalb des fingierten ovalen Rahmens befindet sich der Name des Dargestellten mit dem Titel des “Grand Amiral de France”. Darunter ist das Blatt in der Druckplatte vom Künstler signiert. Die Darstellung stammt aus einer umfangreichen Serie berühmter Personen des 17. und 18. Jahrhunderts von dem italienischen Künstler Vincenzo Vangelisti (um 1738 Florenz – 1798 Paris).

- Inscription: Below the fictitious oval frame is the sitter’s name with the title of the “Grand Amiral de France”. Below this the sheet is signed by the artist in the printing plate. The depiction is from an extensive series of famous persons of the 17th and 18th centuries by the Italian artist Vincenzo Vangelisti (c. 1738 Florence – 1798 Paris).

- Condition: Good condition. The entire sheet shows waviness and faint foxing. Along the upper edge of the sheet and the lower edge there are some, partly clear liquid stains. In the right margin of the sheet there are two punctiform holes in the paper.
