Son&C° London 1842”, additionally facsimile signature of the sitter in the plate. Woolnoth portrayed Lyndhurst with a long white wig. It falls impressively on his splendid cloak. Lyndhurst is looking very seriously to the right. The three-quarter profile clearly shows his characteristically curved nose, which gives him a stern appearance.
