- Beschreibung: Jan de Bisschop (auch Johannes Episcopius) (1628-1671), zuerst Advokat, wurde später Zeichner und Radierer. Er war Schüler von Bartholomeus Breenbergh und beeinflusste u.a. Jacob van der Ulft. Durch seine Kupferstiche nach Vorbildern berühmter Meister hatte er großen Einfluss auf die Kunst seiner Zeit.

- Zustand: Guter Zustand. Die schöne Graphik ist altersbedingt in den Rändern leicht stockfleckig, oberes rechtes Blattdrittel diagonal knickspurig und an der Oberkante wasserfleckig; im Bereich der Darstellung vereinzelt blass farbfleckig; im linken Rand mit zwei winzigen Einstichen; angeklebter Papierstreifen rechts. Die Darstellung macht einen sehr guten Eindruck.

- Description: Jan de Bisschop (also Johannes Episcopius) (1628-1671), first a lawyer, later became a draughtsman and etcher. He was a pupil of Bartholomeus Breenbergh and influenced Jacob van der Ulft, among others. Through his copper engravings after models of famous masters, he had a great influence on the art of his time.

- Condition: Good condition. The beautiful print is slightly foxed in the margins due to its age, upper right third of the sheet diagonally creased and waterstained at the upper edge; in the area of the image isolated pale colour stains; in the left margin with two tiny punctures; glued paper strip at the right. The image makes a very good impression.
