- Beschreibung: Mit einem Hauch Sinnlichkeit versehenes Familienbild als Illustration zu Goethes Faust. Faust und Gretchen sind zusammen mit einem Knaben dargestellt, im Busch hinten links lauert Mephisto und enttarnt für den Betrachter das Trugbild eines falschen Idylls. Kunstvoll ornamental und mit Figuren gerahmt – Apoll als Musiker und Paare in sinnlicher Umarmung. Das Blatt stammt aus einer Serie von Illustrationen von Engelbert Seibertz zu Goethes Faust.  .

- Zustand: Guter Zustand. Das Blatt ist ganzseitig stockfleckig. Entlang der Blattkanten vereinzelt bestoßen. Die Blattecken sind geringfügig bestoßen und geknickt. Die Darstellung ist frisch erhalten und macht einen tadellosen Eindruck.

- Description: A family picture with a touch of sensuality as an illustration of Goethe’s Faust. Faust and Gretchen are depicted together with a boy, Mephisto lurks in the bush at the back left and exposes the illusion of a false idyll for the viewer. Artfully ornamented and framed with figures – Apollo as a musician and couples in a sensual embrace. The sheet is part of a series of illustrations by Engelbert Seibertz to Goethe’s Faust.  .

- Condition: Good condition. The sheet is foxed on all sides. Isolated bumps along the edges of the sheet. The corners are slightly bumped and creased. The image is freshly preserved and makes an impeccable impression.
