- Beschreibung: Die Graphik zeigt die Konstruktion der magnetischen Uhr aus dem Museum Kircherianum in Rom, einer Wunderkammer des Universalgelehrten Athanasius Kircher, Erfinder der magnetischen Uhr. Der Schaukasten, in dem sich die magnetische Konstruktion befindet, wird von einer Girlande aus Früchten und einem krähenden Hahn geschmückt. Eine kleine Figur bekrönt die Konstruktion und hält einen lateinischen Schriftzug in der Hand: “Horologium multplex magnetico Sympathicum ex museo Kircheriano.”. Der Sockel des Schaukasten trägt links das Monogramm “IHS” und rechts “MRA”.

- Description: The graphic shows the construction of the magnetic clock from the Museum Kircherianum in Rome, a cabinet of curiosities of the polymath Athanasius Kircher, inventor of the magnetic clock. The display case containing the magnetic construction is decorated with a garland of fruits and a crowing cock. A small figure crowns the construction and holds a Latin inscription in his hand: “Horologium multplex magnetico Sympathicum ex museo Kircheriano.”. The base of the display case bears the monogram “IHS” on the left and “MRA” on the right.
