- Beschreibung: Vorne von der Bildmitte führt ein Wanderweg hinauf in das Gebirge der Schweizer Alpen. Am Wegesrand steht eine Magd an einer Wassertränke, dahiner befindet sich eine Holzhütte. In der Zeichnung auf einen Stein beschriftet mit: “Lauterbrunnen 20 Aout”. Am unteren Rand des Blattträgers in Tusche beschriftet mit “[?]stiftzeichnung, aquarelliert, von J. van Roy, nach der Natur gezeichnet im Jahre 1851 | [?] J. van Roy 1851”.

- Description: In front of the centre of the picture, a hiking trail leads up into the mountains of the Swiss Alps. At the side of the path a maid is standing at a water trough, behind her is a wooden hut. In the drawing inscribed on a stone: “Lauterbrunnen 20 Aout”. Inscribed in ink at the lower margin of the sheet support with “[?]pencil drawing, watercolour, by J. van Roy, drawn from nature in 1851 [?] J. van Roy 1851”.
