Schumann.” Bildnis des Alfonso de Albuquerque (1453 bei Lissabon – 1515 auf Reede vor Goa); er war ein portugiesischer Militär, Politiker und Seefahrer sowie zweiter Gouverneur von Portugiesisch-Indien. Er schuf mit seiner Tätigkeit die Basis für die portugiesische Expansion in Asien.

- Zustand: Guter Zustand. Das Blatt ist im breiten Rand altersbedingt gebräunt und stockfleckig, entlang der Ränder leicht knickspurig und stellenweise bestoßen. Gelbliche Verfärbung im linken Rand. Das schöne Porträt macht einen sehr guten Eindruck.

Schumann.” Portrait of Alfonso de Albuquerque (1453 near Lisbon – 1515 at the roadstead off Goa); he was a Portuguese military man, politician and navigator as well as second governor of Portuguese India. With his activities, he created the basis for Portuguese expansion in Asia.

- Condition: Good condition. The sheet is browned and foxed in the wide margins due to its age, slightly creased along the edges and bumped in places. Yellowish discolouration in the left margin. The beautiful portrait makes a very good impression.
